To identify a plant, we have to be able to see it. Right? Here are some simple instructions on how to post images here on the Forum so others can chime in and help.

      Basic instructions:

      1. If you find an image on the internet you want to identify, skip to Step 4.
      2. If you found a plant and took your own photo, you will need to upload your photo to the internet first.
      3. Create an image-hosting account somewhere like WordPress.com, Google Photos, degoo.com or imgur or some other site. After your image is uploaded, go to Step 4.
(We are in no way affiliated with or responsible for these sites, their actions, hosting, accounts, or preferences. You assume all responsibility for whomever you host your images with.)
      4. Right-click on the image you would like to share
      5. Click ‘Copy image address’
        copy image address
      6. Start a new Forum Topic. In the WYSIWYG editor, click ‘IMG’
      7. You will be prompted to ‘Enter the URL of the image’. Right-click and paste the image address you copied earlier
      8. When prompted to ‘Enter a description of the image’ just click ‘OK’

That’s it! Your image(s) will be displayed when you save your post.

Q: What if I took the photo on my phone?

      View Step 3 above.

      Have fun, and be safe!
