Nettle is bursting with beneficial goodness! The lovely stinging nettle, Urtica dioica, is a micro-nutrient rich green that our bodies recognize as food and medicine. Good nutrition is the crucial foundation for building a healthy body, mind and spirit!
I am super excited to share my knowledge and experience of nettles with all of you! This is by far one of my favorite herbs to teach about, because they are so accessible, and I can share how healing plants can be and how easy is is to incorporate them into a healthy lifestyle. Nettles are a “go-to” herb for improving your overall health! And if you are new to the world of herbalism this is a PERFECT place to start!

Nettle is bursting with beneficial goodness! and is a powerhouse anti inflammatory/astringent/decongestant!
Some common misconception are that nettles are “good for” adrenal fatigue, that a person should take them 6-8 weeks before their seasonal allergies are triggered, and that they can be harvested anytime. Find out the real deal during our harvest time.
As always, I’ll cover a great deal about how nettles are used medicinally, including case study stories, current research, and the specific phytochemicals in nettles which will give you the “why and how” nettles do what they do in YOUR body!
You will also receive hands-on instruction for learning to accurately identify, harvest and prepare a variety of remedies. We will cover use, dosages, and more! Students will have an opportunity to harvest nettles, make and take home 2 different remedies, and sample nettle pesto…which we will make fresh right in the field!
You HAVE to come to this workshop to get some nettles to make Cedar Mountain Herb School’s world famous from-scratch nettle lasagne! (I just drooled for real.)
