An wild plant adventure awaits…
Our beautiful natural areas east of the Cascades are brimming with an abundance of medicinal plants! In this wildcrafting adventure we will do a couple of plant walks, meet some new plant friends or get to know some old plant friends even better, and make lovely plant remedies! This is going to be a glorious day!
What plants will we learn about? We will see plants in various stages of growth as we encounter plants such as goldenrod, ponderosa pine, wild cherry, elderflower, wild rose, mullein, arrowleaf balsam root, yarrow, spirea, hawthorn, willow and more!
We will harvest what is bountiful and make medicine with what we are gifted!

In this full day intensive, we will learn what plants grow on east side of the Cascade Mountains, their constituents and how they work in our bodies, how to properly identify and harvest specific plants. We will learn all the different ways that individual plants can be used will also cover a variety of preparations, including which preparations work best for different situations and how to create the most effective remedies!
This is a very immersive and hands-on class! Depending on what we harvest you may be making elixirs, oxymels, herbal vinegars, tinctures, oils and teas!
Come explore the beautiful Eastern side of the Cascades, immerse yourself in nature’s beauty and peaceful solace as you make new herb friends-plants and people on this glorious plant ramble!

What you’ll need:
- Discover Pass
- Camp chair
- Umbrella, sun hat or sunshade
- Notebook
- 4 clean half pint jars
- Sturdy shoes and long socks or boots
- Lunch, lots of water, snacks
We may not need all of the following but we want to be prepared!
- Small basket (also these) or fabric grocery bag
- Cutting board, chopping knife and sturdy scissors or kitchen shears
- Hand pruners
- Half pint organic olive oil, sunflower oil (or other oil of your choice)
- Raw, local honey
- apple cider vinegar
- One pint 100 proof vodka
