Needle felting is an age-old method of decorating wool clothing and household items that spans many cultures.
Let’s get creative! What is so fabulous about needle felting is that each piece made is a work of art and is as individual as the person who made it. With a barbed needle, wool roving is poked over and over to form the design on wool. We find our wool at thrift stores – that $5 sweater that’s been washed too many times and is being picked over is the perfect candidate to cut up for our creations.
Whether you. make a pot holder or eye pillow stuffed with a lavender sachet, a handle holder for your cast iron, or maybe even a purse from a pocket that was on a wool sweater, the keywords are functional art!
All materials will be provided. We’ll have a delightful time chatting among the herbs, sipping herbal lemonade and needle felting. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon, yes?
