Discover the art of making beautiful, truly natural soap from scratch! You’ll learn how to create luxurious bars with creamy bubbles that leave your skin clean and moisturized ❧

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, discover how easy and satisfying it can be to make beautiful, luxurious soap from scratch!

Suzanne has been making soap for more than 40 years, beginning as a teenager when her grandmother taught her the craft. Since then, she has taught thousands of students—many of whom have gone on to build successful soapmaking businesses of their own.

In this demonstration class from Suzanne’s kitchen, you’ll learn her time-tested method for creating rich, creamy bars that cleanse beautifully while leaving skin feeling soft and moisturized. We’ll use natural oils, butters, clays, and essential oils—without synthetic fragrances or dyes.

We’ll also explore the connection between soapmaking and natural body care, including how to make thoughtful ingredient choices for yourself and your family. Some synthetic fragrance ingredients and colorants can irritate sensitive skin, and certain fragrance chemicals have raised concerns about endocrine activity. You’ll learn what to look for and how to choose ingredients with purpose.

This is not a melt-and-pour class. We’ll make real soap from scratch—much like Grandma used to, but with modern methods, precise measurements, and essential safety practices.

You’ll learn:

  • How oils and lye transform into soap
  • How different oils and ingredients affect the finished bar
  • How to choose ingredients for different skin needs
  • How to work safely and measure accurately
  • Why Suzanne’s tried-and-true method produces such beautiful results

You’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence to begin making lovely, natural soap at home right away.

And with Valentine’s Day around the corner, handmade bars make wonderful gifts—if you can bear to give them away!

“Taking your class was one of the best decisions of my life. Seriously. Being a part of the lovely, wise world of plants has brought me back to who I am. I realized a few months ago, that the Emily I’m most happy with and the one who feels right is the Emily that gets up early every Tuesday and drives up to your homestead and is home. The space that you create and nurture and fill with the magic of herbal medicine is such a glorious place to be and learn and grow in. You, as a person and strong badass wildcrafter, are an inspiration. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
